Summer Brights – Make Up Report.

I don’t know about you, but after spending so many months stuck indoors, re-couping from two major surgeries. I was pretty fed up of seeing the horrible weather from my bedroom window.

So you can imagine my excitement when ‘first’ the weather improved! and second the World Cup went to Brazil!

I decided what better way to continue to brighten up that view than to test out the boldest make-up treats!! Right about now is a good time to give your makeup kit an makeover before you give yourself one, for two very important reasons:

1. Sometimes we could all do with a much needed overhaul. Playing safe for too long can get ‘boring’.

2.   We could all do with a bit of a  mood-enhancing change up every now and then.

As much as I might love nudes make up brights always warm my soul.

Here’s a pick of my favourite mood-boosting make up colours and products.

Benefit The Bronze of Champions Kit, £26.50

Although this kit is more bronze than bright,  it is perfect for the next few months to boost and enhance that summer glow. No time like the present to get your ‘tan’talising tan in check.

Made from Brazil’s genipap tree, this cleansing body oil has a divine tropical scent and gives a silky finish.

Nars Guy Bourdin Blush in Coeur Battant, £21.50

From the eponymous and highly sought after Guy Bourdin collection , this deep purple shade does look slightly overpowering, however a great way to wear it is with nude eyes and a fleshy translucent gloss . nars-cosmetics-guy-bourdin-blush_GALancôme Vernis In Love Tropiques in Nuit d’Azur. £13

One of the best and brightest blues I have seen in a long time.

Stila Countless Colour Pigments in Centre Stage, £14

With so many brands now selling baked eyeshadows I have to say this is one of my favourites. Designed to create a kaleidescope of colour all together or used individually to add a single shade pop of colour that is truly mood enhancing.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sultry Samba.

Revlon’s Rio Rush collection for summer 2014 is packed with eye-popping brights inspired by the vibrant Brazilian city, and the Super Lustrous Lipstick in Sultry Samba is one of the hottest of them all.
